I’m Dhruv Kumar. I built Opelis after growing up around my family’s government-contracting business and studying Computer Science at the University of Toronto.

Why I built Opelis
I’m Dhruv Kumar, founder of Opelis. I grew up in New Delhi in a family involved in government contracting, where I was often the person everyone turned to for help with technology. That gave me a close-up view of the everyday challenges behind the business: keeping records up to date, tracking bills and payments, following up on recoveries, and making sure responsibilities were clear.
I left Delhi at 18 and went on to study Computer Science at the University of Toronto. The problems I had seen in my family’s business stayed with me. I built Opelis by bringing that experience and my technical background together. My aim is to help contracting companies keep their work, money and accountability connected, from the first tender decision to the final recovery.
